What's New

- Door’s no longer close behind you automatically.
- The games first hat : a motorcycle helmet. Because every survival game needs one.
- Countless Graphical Asset updates.
- Cursor now highlights when on top of an interactable item, as well as when player is close enough to interact with said item.
- Revamped the day and night cycle to adjust better to the minutes passed instead of hard set hours. Adjusted light to be darker/lighter during peak night/day times.
- Added Lighting system that would work with the new day/night cycle.
- Added Flashlight and Battery items that can be found in the Pawn Shop.
- Added code to allow Batteries to be dragged over Flashlights in Inventory with a GUI indication that the battery can be dropped over the Flashlight.
- Pressing [E] with a Lighter/Flashlight equipped in the current slot will turn the item on and show a lighting reticle respective to the item’s lighting distance. Items must have sufficient stack, or “charge/fluid”. Flashlight’s light will stem from the player’s hand and follow the mouse up to a certain length.
- Animations for Holding Flashlight and wearing new hat.
- Added Psycho Event #2 to teach you not to sleep with doors open.
- Escape key now backs out of all GUI, menus, and submenus.(edited)

Bug Fixes

- Player can now no longer move when secondary inventories are open. - Added Map Boundaries to prevent player from walking outside of the room’s border.
- Fixed bug where doors closing on player would prevent them from moving and the subsequent bug created from fixing this. - Fixed bug from loading a saved game that would prevent the player from leaving the bed.
- Fixed bug from loading a saved game that would cause all sprites to be transparent.
- Fixed bug that caused extreme health drain when food was less than half, but water was more than half.
- Fixed bug that would start a new game on save file 2 when no was clicked for overwriting save file 1.
- Fixed bug that would add only one item to inventory and destroy the rest when picking up multiple items under mouse. - Fixed bug that would draw sprites with a negative x or y scale in the wrong location.

Balance Changes

- Clearer instructions on how to use items when details are expanded in Main Inventory.
- Cut the drain of Lighter and Flashlight charges by 75%. For example, a turned on Flashlight should last around 16 or so hours.
- Food and Water drain decreased by 50%, this makes the player able to survive an extra two days without eating/drinking. By just standing still, the player would die by day two, even when not doing anything. Even though my intention was to not allow the player to play the demo longer than the amount of things I’ve built into it, it became apparent that this was one of the most common sources of frustration for players. 
- Health Drain decreased by 50% while Health Recovery increased by 800%. The Health Drain previously exceeded the Health Recovery, virtually making it impossible to avoid death. The Health Recovery may seem excessive, but the speed is per second with a small increment as long as the conditions are met for recovery. 
- Greatly Increased chances of psycho events triggering temporarily. This is to help the play-testers and the publisher get more visibility into rare events.
